'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life
Trying to make ends meet
You're a slave to money then you die
I'll take you down the only road I've ever been down
You know the one that takes you to the places
where all the veins meet yeah

No change, I can't change
I can't change, I can't change
But I'm here in my mind
I am here in my mind
But I'm a million different people
from one day to the next
I can't change my mind
No, no, no, no, no, no, no,no,no,no,no,no(fading away)

Well I never pray
But tonight I'm on my knees yeah
I need to hear some sounds that recognize the pain in me, yeah
I let the melody shine, let it cleanse my mind, I feel free now
But the airways are clean and there's nobody singing to me now

No change, I can't change
I can't change, I can't change
But I'm here in my mind
I am here in my mind
And I'm a million different people
from one day to the next
I can't change my mind
No, no, no, no, no, no, no
I can't change
I can't change it

'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life
Trying to make ends meet
Trying to find some money then you die
I'll take you down the only road I've ever been down
You know the one that takes you to the places
where all the veins meet yeah

You know I can't change, I can't change
I can't change, I can't change
But I'm here in my mind
I am here in my mind
And I'm a million different people
from one day to the next
I can't change my mind
No, no, no, no, no

I can't change my mind
no, no, no, no, no,
I can't change
Can't change my body,
no, no, no

I'll take you down the only road I've ever been down
I'll take you down the only road I've ever been down
Been down
Ever been down
Ever been down
Ever been down
Ever been down
That you've ever been down
That you've ever been down

What causes the Mondays?

Sleeping in Sunday mornings,
due to staying up late both Friday
                                       and then Saturday night.

Resulting is trouble of sleeping Sunday night   giving you
                                                                                                a case of the Mondays.

Want What You Can't Have

Sometimes a girl wants what she can't have. Is that because she doesn't like what she has?

Listen to What Needs to be Heard

She never liked the way he treated her like a child.
Listening to her worries as if they were fiction.
When they should've been treated as facts.

   Because to her they were.
And that's all that needs to be heard.

Zen Art Essay

Finding One’s Completeness
From the Zen Art Book by Stephen Addiss and John Daido Loori, I’d like to compare the two pieces “Ax” and “Enso”.  Looking at both of these pieces one could find a better understand of the concept of Zen.
In Enso, the circle represents a wholeness or completeness of one’s self. This completeness has always and will always be there, from birth to death. Zen focuses on the realization that all you need in life is your body and mind. If you attach yourself to anything more, you will find pain and suffering. The image of the circle represents the shape of one’s self. The grey/black color of the shape is the physical wall between the outside and inside of the circle. In the painting on page 51, the Enso is “broad, grey, dry and fills most of the format,” which suggests a notion of speed and energy. This speed and energy is what allows one to find freedom and ease. Freedom and ease is achieved with the realization that everything outside of the body and mind is an illusion that we should not cling to.
The ax represents the action of removing all that is extra. If you are not one with the Dao, or if you are attached to more than just the Enso, then you will suffer. The image of the ax on page 49, is “depicted a[s] [a] jagged-edged.” I think that this characteristic represents suffering, because you will suffer when you are cutting off the excess with the dull jagged ax. The haiku in the picture says, “This ax of mine, does away with, people’s incompleteness.” This is expressing that the purpose of the ax is to remove anything that is outside of the Enso to move a person closer to the completeness.
In a way the Enso is representing the body and emptiness in the inside is the mind. In order to achieve completeness you must forget the concept of the self. Your mind should be empty and indifferent to everything you experience. If you neither like nor dislike, then you will see the world the way that it is, true reality.  The inside of the circle must contain no-thing. Once you reach this point then you are one with the Dao.
If true, pure enlightenment is fully achieved at the beginning and end of life, then the entire time you are living it would make sense that you are not just complete, but that you are more than complete. Which to me is pleasant to think about, because no matter what happens to you in your life, you can rest assured that happiness can be found in life itself. Even when you are suffering, you are still living.

Zen Paintings

It is important to keep in ming that Zen paintings embody spiritually and artistically the teachings of Zen masters and in this they differ dramatically from Buddhist art in general. They ten to be free, uninhibited, humorous, and do not adhere to the usual characteristics associated with Buddhist art or with sacred art in general. Perfection, grace, and holiness are eliminated. Zen paintings do not even aspire to such ideals. They are imperfect they are worldly, and through their ordinariness they go beyond perfection and holiness. They echo the saying, "if you see the Buddha kill the Buddha." which is an other way of saying, "Don't put another head on top of the one you already have."
-The Zen Art Book (p. 7)

The paintings have no "guild lines," or at least claim not to. Of course they are guiled by "no-guild lines" but it also knows it can't be perfect.

Time is in the eye of the Beholder

Time, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder.

Dog years are converted into humans years, (7 dog years for every human year?)

Is time the 4th dimension or at least a dimension? Yes, just like the 2nd or 3rd dimension (2-D or 3-D) our perception of time exists(its just not visible)*. But I think it varies between everyone. You can't claim that two people that are the exact same age are at the same point in their life, because time, just like beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

*Who's to say that if you can't see it, its not there. Math doesn't really exist, you can't find the number 1 in nature, its a concept that humans have created. A lot like time.

Naturally....

I wonder,
If we could talk to the animals
  Would they call us, inhumane?
Do we know the difference between good and natural?
-------------------------------------
Is there a difference?

Wen

Wen, Chinese for pattern, order, beauty.

The traditional meaning for wen, is tiger stripes. Believed to show how beauty is found in nature.

Has evolved into un-willful order. Order that is just there, naturally.
----------------------------------------
Religion isn't suppose to be shared with language. Its suppose to be shared through experience.

Language or words (unless you have mastered it or used sparingly) can do more harm than good.

Instead experience can be shared  visually and physically, with the help of words.

I'd hate to rely on the Internet....

Because from there we'd have to rely on Computers. Something that is so familiar yet foreign to my primitive being that I'm not sure if I can Trust it.
---------------------------------------------
Because thinking about it rationally, it's a figure of our imagination. Thats evolved to the point where we can share our dreams with each other.
-------------------------------------------

I only say this because I think I rely on it too much.

Modest Mouse....

I'm the same as I was when I was 6 years old
And oh my God I feel so damn old
I don't really feel anything
On a plane, I can see the tiny lights below
And oh my God, they look so alone
Do they really feel anything?
Oh my God, I've gotta gotta gotta gotta move on
Where do you move when what you're moving from
Is yourself?

The universe works on a math equation
that never even ever really ends in the end
Infinity spirals out creation
We're on the tip of its tongue, and it is saying
We aint sure where you stand
You aint machines and you aint land
And the plants and the animals, they are linked
And the plants and the animals eat each other
Oh my God and oh my cat
I told my Dad what I need
Well I know what I have and want
But I don't know what I need
Well, he said he said he said he said
"Where we're going I'm dead."

Just a different way to Frame Myself.

Leave My Dreams Behind Me

Waking up in the morning, not knowing what to do.
There you were in my dreams but not in my room.
In those waking moments I had to separate.
Who you are in reality, from in my dreams.

I don’t mind if you’re here or if you’re there
But please leave my mind, I can’t stand you everywhere
I miss what we had but that’s gone we can’t turn back.

The you that’s in my dreams is the answer I gave me.
To all of the wrong reasons why we were we
Isn’t weird how we complicate the simple things
And simplify the complex.

Its easier to look at this as an experience.
That I have to come back from with resilience.
And accept and understand that you played a part
In making me who I am
.
We'll Get Through This

What i am trying to do here,
is try to make my message clear,
that im not trying to settle down,
im just trying to reach a common ground
I dont know what i want in my life,
but I dont want be just your wife,
It seems like love is just a game
to try to buckle down just another dame.

what im trying to convey
is that my feelings are here to stay,
with you, my dear, and with these words im being
real sincere

I just dont know if happiness
is all about of fitting into that dress.
Lets make sure that were on the same page
That I think the concept of marriage is vague

Im just looking for happiness,
in a life where ignorance is bliss
Im just trying to find my own peace
with it, my dear, and with these words im being
real sincere

I see us falling deeper in love,
when you understand all the above
I dont want to be caught up in all this,
Idea that marriage equals happiness

I find myself so happy,
when you and me are laughing
I find myself so happy
with you my dear
we shouldn't fear
my dear

All a diary is...

Is what I want to be remembered for when I am gone.
----------------------------------
Is proof of who I am.

Nerds...

I feel like all nerds are just really self confident and are comfortable in their own skin.

Unfiltered ideas.

I define these as being thoughts that are hot off the press. It's easier to describe the process. I'll be on the internet researching, studying, looking at a certain topic and ill learn from it. Ill take the (i call them) rumors......

Self Awareness

I wonder if the only reason why humans have created societies for centuries is because of our ability to make conscious decisions.

People know that dolphins, known to be one of the smartest animals besides homo sapient, recognize themselves in a mirror.

---------------------------
Inception idea: What if idea was created by self awareness?

Facebook

Does anyone else think that Facebook might take over. Alright a little dramatic but I think that Facebook is as powerful as Google now. I mean everyone uses it and now smart phones are wiring it into their functionality.

(I sometimes also think that Latin might come back again.)

After seeing the movie The Social Network....
---------------------------------
It is better than Myspace because its not personalized (in the way that the creator can manipulate the image of themself.). You are able to search for people in a way that allows you to remember who that person was to you, rather than look at who that person is now.

Everyone is shown in an equal (sometimes seemingly equal light) by that i mean there are features on the site that are made to.....
----------------------------------
The movie really isn't to its full potential brilliant in all the ways that it is right now. I am sure that decades later many people are going to want to watch it and not understand why its "so" good because they will never experience how Facebook changed our generations' lives. I feel like my experience prior to watching the film was that i was already had an understanding of Facebook's role in my life. What I didn't know was why.

Figuring out our role within the context of the whole.

Life lesson.

I just want to live my life doing the stuff i love, with others that live their life like me.

The only reason why something is frustrating is because you KNOW that there is an other way to fix the problem at hand.Or you just do NOT know at all.

Being good at art lies in the ability to look at things critically and to be able to formulate a seperate meaning than what most would see at first glance.

There was an interesting mordern evolution of art in late 1800's that Pablo Picasso is famous for. Cubisum. All thanks to the invention of the camera. Before it an artists goal was to recreate realistic images. The camera forced artists to take their paintings in a seperate direction, instead of making their paints looks realistic, without brush strokes, they started to develope a style that made their art look like is was, a painting.

I think that artists like Andy Warhole made the next modern art movement towards photoshopping and distorting pictures, popular iconic photos. This form of art is really just repeating the movement picasso made by creating a different point of view for the viewer to see the popular image.

Whoever the artists, modern art is moving toward uncovering human emotions and feelings. It brings us to reality.

What is art for?

"Art is merely an intensification and exaggeration of what everyone does quite naturally.....If the notion that everyone is an artist seems foreign to our highly professionalized society of specialists, it is only because art has been falsely set apart from life, in the course of which it has lost its communal nature and function."-Ellen Dissanayake."

Our art now has become more commodified, instead of making things special, we buy products that are mass produced. We let one artist do art for us, when it is a natural behavior for us to want to do art ourselves.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
"Art is art, doesn't matter what form its in. Dance, photos, clothes, paintings, sculptures, storytelling. Its created by people who are just looking to express their opinion/emotion."

Everyone is able to make art.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I feel like people can be and ARE the art that they create. By cause and effect. You want to become

Thanks to my creators.

Everyone questions why they are here and what their purpose is. And even who it is that put us here. Well I feel content with the fact that I know the people who created me, my mom and dad. Later I will have children of my own that my partner and I created. To me thats an answer I am content with. It is my goal now to create a purpose for my life, and the people I have in it.

This is me thanking you mom and dad for creating me and my world around me. because you made my world unique, whether you meant to or not, I have followed you for the first part of my life, in the houses we lived in, the family and friends that were yours, and now those are my building blocks.

His photos bring abstract looks at uncomfortable images, that many would look really vulgar but he leaves the mark of an artist's brush.

Or does he? Look at the link below to find out for yourself.
